Rep. Dave Camp, R-Mich., chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, earns rare high praise from The Washington Post’s Fact Checker for his claim that it takes, on average, 13 hours for an individual to gather receipts, prepare and fill out the income tax forms and costs about $168 billion and 6 billion hours for taxpayers to comply. Turns out he’s basically right.
