The NSA on Wednesday released reports showing it may have violated U.S. law or policy for more than a decade, including by spying on Americans’ communications overseas. The NSA waited until late afternoon on Christmas Eve to release a series of quarterly and annual reports to the President’s Intelligence Oversight Board from 2001 to 2013, under an ACLU FOIA lawsuit. The reports include examples of mishandling of Americans’ data, including one analyst who searched her spouse’s personal phone directory to find names and phone numbers to target. www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-12-24/spy-agency-to-re…pmm=1
